Detailed Description

In Order to participate in RibbonSmyth Online Classes, it is necessary to have basic computer skills such as be able to browse the Internet; be able to log-in to the class group webpages and be able to work with an ID and password within the group webpage. It is imperative that you know how to download and save the class lessons to your computer's hard drive. These skills must be achieved prior to the beginning of the class sessions. These basic skills will not be taught as part of the class.

You will purchase the class just as you would purchase any RibbonSmyth product. You will receive an automatic confirmation. Two weeks prior to the begining of the class, you will receive the class webpage URL, your User ID and password.

On the first day of class and on the same day for the following five weeks, the lesson documents with photos will be posted to the class webpage. Students will login and download the documents to their computer. The class lessons are yours to keep. They are not intended to be copied and shared with others.

Each project will be taught in a step-by-step manner with plenty of photos. At the end of the six-week session, you will have a completed project.

The lessons may be downloaded and the work on the project may be completed at your leisure. We will have a class forum where you may chat with other students through-out the six-week period and may upload photos of your progress. We encourage you to share your progress. As the instructor, I will answer all questions and give additional aid whenever needed. We welcome International Students! It is not necessary to join in the class chat room. That is totally voluntary. The Class Chat room is private and only students in each class and the instructor may participate. There is a tutorial which offers easy instructions in navigating the forum.

The only requirement for the class is that you will need to install Adobe's free Acrobat Reader to your computer. The lesson documents will be distributed as pdf files which require the Reader program to open the documents. Please have this program installed prior to the first class.
