Stitches:

French knot, straight stitch, lazy daisy, fly stitch, blanket stitch, Feather stitch

1. Fold the felt piece in half and place over the mini bell bull.  Stitch small straight stitches  through both sides of the felt using moss green floss. This will hold the bell pull in place. The design will be worked on a piece measuring 4 ½” x 6”. Mark the fold with a water-soluble pen. Using a coin and a water-soluble marking pen, draw scallops at the bottom of the felt pieces. Cut out the scallop areas.  Clip the vintage images apart so that there is no white space around each image.

2. Use a hot dry iron, following the tutorial on how to fuse vintage images, (include url) and fuse the little images to the felt

3. Thread up 20” of ribbon floss and tie a knot in the end of the floss. Using the chenille needle, stitch 3-wrap French knots around the top fused image on the top right corner and the left side using yellow, berry and purple ribbon floss.  Add several straight stitches and
   Lazy daisy stitches and feather stitch branches in Moss ribbon floss.

4. Using the Soft Yellow ribbon floss, make small straight stitches around the top images to create a border around the image.

5. Stitch a purple border around the second image using a fly stitch and purple ribbon floss.

6. Stitch random yellow small straight stitches round the third pansy and butterfly image. Add a small moss green straight stitch in-between the yellow straight stitches. This creates a small bud.  Stitch this same bud with moss green straight stitches and add a berry ribbon floss straight stitch in-between the moss green straight stitches.

7. For the fourth vintage fusible image, stitch two lazy daisies in Moss green ribbon floss around the image to create a border. Add two-wrap French knots in Yellow Ribbon Floss.Use

8. Nymo thread and stitch a gold antique bee and gold fairy into place. Hide the loops of the charms among the ribbon floss stitches.

9. Stitch a peacock blue sequin in the center of each scallop using Nymo beading thread. Stitch a gold seed bead in the center of each sequin.

10. Stitch sequins anchored with seed beads in the top floral groupings located around the top vintage image.

11. Beginning on one side at the top of the felt banner, blanket stitch around the entire banner ending on the other side of the banner next to the metal bell pull.

12. Remove any visible blue marks.
